Capitals forward Tom Wilson is known for ruffling feathers on the ice.
Standing tall at 6'3 and weighing in at 220 lbs, Wilson doesn't shy away from confrontations, whether it's with tough enforcers or... goaltenders?
Elvis Merzlikins, the Blue Jackets' netminder, found himself taking a solid right hook from Wilson after a scuffle in the crease.
The situation escalated as Merzlikins threw the first punch, but once Wilson got back on his feet, things went south for the goalie. Credit to the officials for stepping in before Wilson could do more damage.
The intensity of these on-ice clashes is what keeps hockey fans on the edge of their seats.
