Two Big Name Rangers Intend To Become Free Agents

It was a hell of a year for the New York Rangers. Who had a very impressive regular season and after a five year hiatus the Rangers would return to the Stanley Cup playoffs. The Rangers would eliminate the Pittsburgh Penguins and Carolina Hurricanes but would ultimately fall in the Eastern Conference Final by the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
However, after a solid run it has Rangers fans very excited about the team's future heading into next season. Unfortunately for Rangers fans we got some bad news as New York Rangers Insider Larry Brooks would reveal that both Andrew Copp and Ryan Strome both intend to test free agency July 13th.
Copp was traded to the Rangers at the Trade deadline for prospect Morgan Barron and 3 draft picks and Unfortunately the news gets worse one of the picks was a condition in the Rnagers reached the Eastern Conference finals which they did the pick would be changed from a 2nd round pick to a 1st round pick. Copp signed a 1 year deal through arbitration worth $3.64 million dollar the 27 year old had 21 goals and 32 assists with a plus 15 rating in 72 games with the Rangers this season.
Ryan Strome has been with the Rangers since the 2018-19 season after being acquired from the Edmonton Oilers the 28 year old made $4.5 million this season and had 21 goalas, and 33 assists with a plus 15 rating in 74 games.
