With multiple first-round picks, Kyle Davidson could leverage them for a better spot in the 2023 Draft, but who will be the takers?
The Chicago Blackhawks, led by Kyle Davidson, have an advantageous position with the 1st overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
With multiple picks at their disposal, they may use them to maneuver into a higher spot in the 1st round.
The question remains, who would be the Blackhawks' most suitable trade partner during the draft?
Blackhawks targeting Canucks around first-round draft trade? The Chicago Blackhawks are in no way looking to trade the No. 1 overall pick in this year's NHL Entry Draft, however, they may be looking to make a deal that includes other first-round picks.
As per The Athletic's Scott Power, the Blackhawks could possibly bundle several draft picks to secure another top-10 pick. Ideally, they could utilize their 19th pick and other valuable assets to move up into a top 15 spot.
However, since the team is currently in a rebuilding phase, they may have to consider taking on a contract to make a deal, though this shouldn't be problematic as they need to reach the cap floor for this season.
As for Kyle Davidson, he will undoubtedly strive to make the most of the draft, and while his strategy remains unconfirmed, it'll soon come to light during the event.
