An event staff member was attacked by a drunken fan at the Canucks game
Hockey games are supposed to be fun and competitive, with a good sense of friendship.
Some fans, however, have too much fun, and the fun becomes chaos, as they don't get cut off. There has been a trend of drunken fans becoming chaotic during sporting events.
The number of videos like this is rising, because some people are incapable of holding their alcohol. As a result, many fans who didn't come to see rude fans have to deal with it during a game.
During the Vancouver Canucks game, a Pittsburgh Penguins fan was involved in this incident. In overtime, the Penguins won 4-3 after a close game.
However, this fan decided to end his night in Rogers Arena sooner by fighting another fan during the game.
When security attempted to restrain the belligerent fan, they were subjected to their beating as he repeatedly punched them.
Fortunately, the staff wasn't injured and was able to get up and escort the belligerent Penguins fan out.
After this incident, it is unlikely that the fan will ever return to Rogers Arena.
There has been no word on whether the fan was arrested for the assault or what caused the altercation.
