The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman have a bit of a goalie puzzle to solve this offseason. Corey Crawford will be UFA while Malcolm Subban will become a RFA. It's more than likely that Crawford and the Hawks work out some sort of deal to keep hi in Chicago, but there's no guarantee when it comes to Subban. One things for sure, two Hawks' goalie prospects won't be given the chance in camp to try and steal a spot in either the NHL or AHL. Scott Powers of The Athletic reports that the Blackhawks have decided to cut ties with prospects Wouter Peeters and Alexis Gravel. "The team has decided to not offer entry-level contracts to goalie prospects Wouter Peeters and Alexis Gravel and will allow their NHL rights to expire on June 1, according to sources Wednesday. Peeters, 21, was drafted by the Blackhawks in the third round in 2016. They were betting on his potential, as he was 6-foot-4 and still just 17 when he was drafted. His game hasn't developed the Blackhawks had hoped, though. He's bounced around leagues and played this past season in England. It's been apparent for the past year that the Blackhawks weren't likely to offer him a contractPassing on Gravel, 20, is more surprising. He was drafted by the Blackhawks in the sixth round in 2018. He had a strong 2018-19 season for the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMHL and especially played well in the playoffs. Behind a younger team this past season, Gravel had more ups and downs. He finished with a .893 save percentage in 40 games."Do you think they should have held on to Gravel?
