With the Chicago Blackhawks going through a bit of a rebuild, the team has stockpiled some interesting young talent. Already featuring some great young talent on the NHL roster like Alex DeBrincat, Dylan Strome and Brendan Perlini the team can afford to let the prospects they don't like walk. That's exactly what will likely happen at 5PM EST today. The team has yet to sign 2014 Draft Picks Beau Starrett, Fredrik Olofsson, Liam Coughlin and Jack Ramsey who will all become UFA if they don't sign by 5PM EST. Starrett was a third round pick by the Hawks and just finished his four year stint with Cornell University but didn't exactly turn heads with his best season being 15 points in 36 games last year. Olofsson did a bit better with 34 points in 36 games last year as he finished his time at the University of Nebraska-Omaha and was able to get in two games with the Rockford IceHogs last year but didn't register any points. Of the four, he likely has the most potential going forward. Coughlin was actually acquired by the Hawks back in 2015 in the Anders Nilsson trade with the Oilers. The 24 year old was selected in the fifth round by the Oilers and like Starrett hasn't really done anything mind blowing during his NCAA career at the University of Vermont. Ramsey had the least productive NCAA career of the four while playing at the University of Minnesota. The 23 year old forward had the chance to play four games in the ECHL last year and registered a goal. All four likely won't be signed today making them UFA's as of 5PM EST.
