The New York Rangers laid a beating to the Penguins on Wednesday night in Pittsburgh, beating them 6-0 in front of their home crowd (the Penguins).
The Rangers showed no signs of slowing down, even when up 6-0, and Sidney Crosby truly let his frustrations out which may lead to discipline from the NHL Player Safety Committee.
The captain showed his frustrations in several ways, starting off by taking a penalty after cross checking Mika Zibanejad onto the ice out of frustration.
The stereotype surrounding Crosby since early on in his career has never been the most positive, considering his cheap antics, but as of late the 'cheap' Sidney Crosby haters have been silenced due to Crosby settling down... until Wednesday night.
Crosby continued to whine as he was sent to the penalty box by the referee, but fans have also accused him of playing dirty following footage surfacing of him swinging his stick viciously towards New York Rangers rookie Victor Mancini, who gave it right back to the Penguins captain- in a less violent way, verbally calling out 'Sid The Kid'.
The backstory to Crosby's swinging of his stick came from him toppling over Rangers goaltender Igor Sheshterkin, leading to Mancini to give Crosby a light nudge.
The Penguins are clearly not off to a hot start, getting pounded 6-0 in their first game as well as home opener and now many wonder if Crosby is regretting signing a two-year extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins just a few weeks back.
