The Chicago Blackhawks finally put together another win as they took down the Columbus Blue Jackets last night. The story before the game was Seth Jones getting added to the COVID list just hours before puck drop cancelling out his first game back in Columbus. However after the win, the storyline clearly was Jakub Galvas and his very impressive NHL debut. Galvas earned the coaching staff's trust early and kept it as he played for a total of 23 minutes. «I'll be honest with you, I was very surprised how good he played,» said interim head coach Derek King. «I knew he was pretty calm down (in Rockford) — and I only had him for a little bit down there, but I knew he was pretty calm with the puck and could skate and make plays and he's a smart player. But he looked really good today, he stepped up. That's not easy.«But Crow had all the faith in him. Just throw him on the first power play, I was like, Really?' I'm thinking somebody else, and I said, OK, let's try it.'»His teammates were just as impressed. «He was super comfortable with the puck, and he's a good skater,» Connor Murphy said. «That's what's hard when you initially come in as a young D-man: it's hard to be poised with the puck. I still have a hard time with that after years. It's impressive to see him be able to do that on the road, stepping up in the game, so his skating and puck play is impressive.»Were you impressed with Galvas' NHL debut?
