A top prospect exploring options outside of the NHL following contract talk halt

The newly named 'Utah Hockey Club' is reportedly already undergoing controversy with a top prospect, Victor Soderblom.

The former 11th overall pick is reportedly unhappy due to the lack of contract talks with general manager Bill Armstrong.

He has recently changed agents, and according to reports he is considering signing outside of North America.

Utah defender Victor Söderström has changed agents as he awaits a new deal, but there is a growing belief he may opt to sign in Europe.

Utah has continued to explore trade options for Söderström.

Soderblom was drafted 11th overall in 2019 by the Arizona Coyotes, and did not see much true opportunity with the dwelling franchise.

Spending most of his career in the AHL, he truly never got a fair opportunity to reach his full potential.

At 23 years of age, Soderblom would certainly be sought after by fellow NHL organizations, but it comes down to his personal choice which may be to head home to Sweden.
