NHL insider Elliotte Friedman shares jaw-dropping update on Elias Pettersson, J. T. Miller drama in Vancouver with the Canucks

A jaw dropping update has been released by Sportsnet's NHL insider Elliotte Friedman on Friday.

On Wednesday, we learned that Pettersson is reportedly on his way out of Vancouver, and we covered the details below:

A trade for Canucks star forward Elias Pettersson: major last-minute development in Vancouver

The Canucks completed a move with Pettersson on Friday, sending him to the injury reserve list, not allowing him to play, but that's not all, Friedman confirmed something huge.

The Canucks are slowly falling out of a players spot, and it seems like it's caused beef, tension and more issues in the locker room between young-star Elias Pettersson and veteran J. T Miller.

Elliotte Friedman weighs in on the situation, and drops a serious update, it appears both players are available for trade- not just Pettersson, and they're working to find an issue to end the drama (meaning a trade of one Pettersson or Miller). Wow!

I believe everybody knows that Vancouver are open to listening. I believe they have already, on both players and will continue to do so. But I still think that Vancouver's preference is that both of them grow up and figure it out.»

Friedman offers another update, stating that the drama has enhanced between Pettersson and Miller

«The fact that it's still a thing (the feud) has begun to spill over into other parts of the organization. And, to me, it's clearly bothering (Coach Rick) Tocchet that this is still a thing. I believe it's bothering (captain, Quinn) Hughes that it's still a thing,» Friedman stated. «And now, it's spread to where everybody has to deal with it.»

According to a Sportsnet broadcast, there's only one spot that Miller would waive his no-movement clause in his contract to, and it'd be him returning back to where his career started in 2011, when the NYR drafted him (15th overall), 1st round, 15th pick.

With back and forth drama going on, and general manager Patrik Allvin actively working on a trade, things are about to get juicy in Vancouver and the NHL trade world! Check back at Hawksinsider for more updates on this matter.

If your favorite NHL franchise could only acquire one of Elias Pettersson or J. T Miller, who would you choose?
