Matt Petgrave is a forward who was involved in a controversy just one year ago and has been under investigation, now- he is speaking out and requesting donations to help him with trial costs

One year ago, the hockey world lost Adam Johnson, and EIHL player Matt Petgrave arrested for on-ice death of Adam Johnson on suspicion of manslaughter

Many fans involved themselves into the controversy- was it intentional or unintentional? It seems as though it has divided the hockey community with different opinions.

Petgrave is in search of raising 300,000 Euros by the end of 2024, yes, by the end of December.

According to Petgrave, his insurance is no longer covering him and he is unable to acquire funds by working due to his United Kingdom visa denying him the right to work as a hockey player.

After the incident that cut Adam Johnson's throat in 2023, the hockey world has not been the same and has came together closer as one to make neck guards more popular.

At the time of the horrific scene, it was deemed a "freak accident".

Now, and just one month later in November of 2023 it was stated to be a "tragic accident".

In the league where Adam Johnson played, neck guards were made mandatory and rightfully so.
