PWHL issued a fine of $250 to Marie-Philip Poulin after reviewing Thursday's events between the Montreal Victoire and New York Sirens.

As a result of a major penalty for charging during last Sunday's match against the New York Sirens.
Poulin charged to Sirens' Jade Downie-Landry right in the middle of the third period.
A five-minute major penalty was assessed to Poulin when the league reviewed the play in real-time, and after consulting with the PWHL Central Situation Room, they did not give her a game misconduct even though.
This was the first major penalty and first fine of Poulin's PWHL career, and the first PWHL fine in league history.
The PWHL's statement was as follows:
NEW YORK AND TORONTO (February 6, 2025) - The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) today announced that, after an automatic review by the PWHL Player Safety Committee, Montréal Victoire forward Marie-Philip Poulin has been fined $250. The incident reviewed was a major penalty for charging assessed to Poulin at 13:48 of the second period during Sunday's game against the New York Sirens. During the game, the play was reviewed by the on-ice officials, in consultation with the PWHL Central Situation Room, and it was determined there would be no game misconduct imposed since the infraction did not result in an injury to the face or head of her opponent, per PWHL Rule 42 - Charging.
