It's no secret, Chicago Blackhawks' forward Dylan Strome is in the organization's doghouse. He was in Jeremy Colliton's doghouse and Stan Bowman's doghouse. With both of them gone, many believed Strome would get a fresh start, but he's sitting in Derek King's doghouse. Luckily it seems the Blackhawks might have finally found a trade partner. According to reports, the Edmonton Oilers are looking for third line center help and Strome might just be on their short list. The Oilers are currently rolling out Derek Ryan and Devin Shore as their 3rd and 4th line centers behind Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Ryan has 1 goal in 24 games and is a -12 while Shore has 2 assists in 12 games and is a -6. Strome has registered 5 points in 17 games while only being given very limited and restricted ice time. Like any trade, the salary cap is the main obstacle as the Oilers have zero cap space. More details to come.
