Over the weekend a report came out that the Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Stan Bowman were desperately trying to trade a defenseman.
Scott Powers ofThe Athletic labeled BrandonManning and
Jan Rutta as being those defenseman.
Should Bowman just blow things up and start getting rid of bigger contracts and older players?
While it's likely impossible to find a suitor for Brent Seabrook and his huge contract,
James O'Brien of NBC Sports suggests they convince DuncanKeith to waive his no movement clause.
It's an ideal time to move him with the league scoring up and Keith could help a team moving the puck and on the powerplay, the longer they hold on to Keith the more his value declines.
Would you be willing to move Keith if it meant getting some assets back?
