Ongoing tensions between countries Canada and the United States have prompted back and forth controversy, and it's lead to the hockey world's anthems being booed.

On Thursday, Team USA faced off vs. Team Finland at the Four Nations Face-Off tournament, and the game has since been trending on social media; for an act that happened before the game.
Prior to the 4 Nations tournament starting, roughly four NHL games were filled with Canadian fans booing the US National Anthem, and in response, American fans booed the Canadian National Anthem.
Many feared that these ongoing tensions would lead into the 4 Nations Face-Off Tournament, and they sure have, take a look:
A video from New York Rangers reporter Mollie Walker offers footage of the scene:
The Bell Centre PA announcer had to issue a message to fans over the arena speakers to respect the anthems, and clearly it did not work.
Matthew and Brady, brothers, finally got to play alongside each other and combined for a dominating performance with 4 points in their 6-1 victory.

Matthew Tkachuk bites back at Canadian fans booing US National Anthem

Tkachuk, the hard-nosed gritty forward for the Florida Panthers certainly shows pride in being US-Born, while being in attendance for most Team USA games even when he's not playing, he was last spotted at the World Juniors.
"I didn't like it. And that's all I've got."
I am sure Tkachuk has a lot more to say but is attempting to keep the controversial topic outside of the hockey world.
