Corey Perry in disbelief following ref controversy in game 1 of Panthers Oilers
Corey Perry helps Florida Panthers defeat Oilers in game one
The Florida Panthers took a 1-0 series lead over the Edmonton Oilers in the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals, thanks to their goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky... and Corey Perry?
Bobrovsky may have notched his second shutout of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, but the Edmonton Oilers' red-hot offence became blue.
The Edmonton Oilers trailed 2-0 in the third period and had all the momentum in hopes to score a goal to make it a one goal game, until Corey Perry was called with a controversial penalty.
In the dying moments of the Stanley Cup Finals, this was sure a controversial call on Corey Perry from the NHL referees. Perry was scratched for nearly the entire series in the previous playoff round, and he's looking to be benched next game for this move.
The Oilers look to even things up in game 2 on Monday night, in Florida once again.
