Major announcement from team feasibly cancels game 3 of NHL Stanley Cup Finals
Stanley Cup Finals could face major delay following announcement from Panthers
Florida was recently hit with a big storm just a few days ago and it is now prompting travel delays for the entire Florida Panthers team, according to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now.
This monsoon which has impacted South Florida the past two days is affecting the #FlaPanthers flight to Edmonton.
They are delayed, but expect to get there tonight.
Flight scheduled for 1 but many players and staff still at complex.
The Oilers have been back in Edmonton since the night of game 2's ending. But, the Panthers made the wrong choice of waiting an extra day before taking their flight to Edmonton for game three.
Reports reveal that there is a chance that game 3 could be delayed or even possibly canceled, which is something that has not been seen in the NHL before.
The Panthers cannot get to Edmonton until at least 8pm local time tonight -- and probably much later. Ground stop in Fort Lauderdale until at least 4pm.
With a 6hr flight still needing to be completed and zero updates, these travel defects will sure take a toll on the Panthers team.
