Yaroslav Askarov trade: Elliotte Friedman reveals what the Blackhawks Must Give Up in Exchange
According to NHL Insider Elliote Friedman, young NHL goalie Yaroslav Askarov is on the trade market.
The Blackhawks of course, are looking to improve their lineup, and Askarov would be a nice piece to improve goalie depth.
What would Kyle Davidson have to trade, to acquire a future #1 goalie, like Askarov?
On Friedman's recent 32 Thoughts Podcast, he mentions GM Kent Hughes asking price for Askarov would be either:
A. An established NHLer who would make sense in return for the goalie.
B. Or another prospect who isn't a goalie, who has great potential.
So, the prospect would have to be either a defenseman, center or winger.
"Friedman, on Nashville's demands for Askarov (32 Thoughts):
"They're either looking for an established NHL player that makes sense to acquire for Askarov or another high-end prospect that's not a goalie, so a forward or defenseman, that's what the Predators are looking for."
So in return for Askarov, the Blackhawks could end up giving up someone like Frank Nazar, Oliver Moore, Ethan Del Mastro, or maybe Sascha Boisvert.
Do you think the Blackhawks should target Askarov and cement him as their new #1 goalie?
