Wrigley Field becomes host of hottest hockey attraction this January
After Wrigley Field is done hosting the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blue for the 2025 NHL Winter Class, Big Ten Hockey takes the stage.
It was announced yesterday, that in January the legendary Ball Park would host Big Ten Hockey.
The Dates announced for the Big Ten Hockey are as follows, January 3rd and 4th and will feature both men and women teams playing those days.
The title of the series will be "The Frozen Confines: Big Ten Hockey Series" and will feature Ohio State vs Michigan in the huge NCAA rivalry, on ice instead of the football field.
Penn St. will face off against Notre Dame, while on the 4th, Ohio State women will face-off against Wisconsin.
The last game of the series will feature the Wisconsin men, battling Michigan State on the ice.
In January, following the Winter Classic, there will be the «The Frozen Confines: Big Ten Hockey Series.» The press conference at Wrigley Field on Thursday will feature Blackhawks ambassador and University of Wisconsin legend (and noted Cubs fan) Chris Chelios, Big Ten Conference Commissioner Tony Petitti as well as representatives from the Blackhawks, Cubs and the NHL.
