Blackhawks Connor Bedard's gold medal dreams go down the drain
Team Canada and Connor Bedard's gold medal dreams won't become reality in 2024.
Despite Connor Bedard's best efforts, which included posting a goal for Team Canada against the Swiss National Team, the team won't compete for a Gold Medal.
Bedard posted a goal against goalie Leonardo Genoni in the shootout, and an assist on John Tavares' goal forcing overtime in the 3rd period.
Team Swiss would come back with a vengeance, with Kevin Fiala and Sven Andrighetto scoring on Jordan Binnington to call game.
This leaves Bedard in the MWC's with 8 points( 5 G, 3 A) with a plus/minus of +4.
Team Canada will compete with Team Sweden in the Bronze Medal matchup.
