Team Canada will face off against Team Slovakia in the IIHF World Championships. Blackhawks superstar, Connor Bedard is absent in the lineup.

Connor Bedard had a stellar first season in the NHL, despite missing 14 regular season games injured. However, it seems that Bedard may be injured, or out of gas as he has failed to perform up to expectations.

Connor Bedard is listed as Canada's 13th forward for today's QF vs Slovakia. He played 8:08 in Canada's last Preliminary Round game vs Czechia.

Connor Bedard has been held out of the lineup, as a healthy scratch, which is rough for the youngster.

Connor Bedard has been under the microscope in Chicago, now in the IIHF with Team Canada. Whether or not he is truly injured he will play a limited role as the 13th forward available, should he come into play people will be paying attention to the future Sophomore's performance.
