Blackhawks to complete monster trade following the mystery roster removal of three players
The team did not release a statement on them being scratched, injured, sick or anything at all. Fans noticed that on the AHL's transactions website, they recalled three players from the ECHL, which they also kept hush hush about, and have not released a statement on.
The three players weren't available to play last night as the team skated 17 players on Sunday against the Milwaukee Admirals.
Two of the three players are top prospects in the Blackhawks system, as Artyom Levshunov was the team's top selection in 2024.
He had recently returned to the ice from injury which kept him out at the start of the season. While Paul Ludwinski is playing his first full year in the AHL with the Rockford IceHogs.
Ludwinski has played 28 games this season and scored 2 points( 1 G, 1 A ) and 10 PIMs.
Joey Anderson has seen both AHL and NHL action this season scoring 5 points( 4 G, 1 A ) in 4 games in this AHL, while in the NHL only posted 1 point( 1 A ) in 18 games.
Could all three players be on the trade block?
Will Joey Anderson be attached to the two players as a salary dump? It's difficult to see as the IceHogs have called up DJ King, Ryan Gagnier, and Kyle Maksimovich in their stead.
Either way,
the Blackhawks could be gearing up for what could be a busy trade deadline in March.
And it'd be difficult to see them empty the cache, especially if they part ways with Levshunov who has seen limited time on AHL ice due to an injury this season.
The team is 15-16-3-1 in 35 games this season, and Kyle Davidson could already be dipping into the Blackhawks' future.
