The Pacific Junior Hockey League looked into it and gave Eithan Grishin the suspension for five different reasons.
Grishin had a fight with North Vancouver's goalie, Evan Paul, during a game at Minoru Arena on Jan. 25.
Video shows Grishin seeming to choke Paul during the scuffle. After they were separated, Paul lay still on the ice.
Grishin appealed the decision, but it was upheld.
The Sockeyes stood by Grishin and said he's still a big part of their team.
They mentioned he got suspensions for various things, including head contact and a game misconduct.
The Sockeyes said they don't support threats made on social media to Grishin and his family.
They also thanked the medical staff for helping Grishin after he got hurt in the game.
The North Vancouver Wolf Pack agreed with the decision, saying player safety is important in the league. They said there are consequences for actions that endanger players.
