Jarome Iginla's kid to the Chicago Blackhawks?
TiJ Iginla, the son of Jerome Iginla, is following in his father's footsteps and pursuing a hockey career.
Currently, he plays for the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he is kickstarting his career in the juniors.
Although he is in his 3rd year with the Rockets, he previously played for the Seattle Thunderbirds for two seasons.
TiJ, born in Lake Country, BC, is a center and eligible for the NHL draft in 2024.
He recently participated in the 2024 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects game and has caught the attention of NHL Central Scouting.
Additionally, he has impressed Tab Bamford, a Chicago-based scout, with his performance in the pull-up bar, completing 13 pull-ups.
At 6' and 186 pounds, TiJ has a size advantage, much like his father.
In the 32 games he has played in the WHL, he has posted excellent numbers, scoring 25 goals and 17 assists, for 42 points.
These impressive stats have placed him second on the Rockets' scoring list and sixth in the WHL for goals scored. TiJ is only 17 years old, and his future in hockey looks bright.
