Toronto Maple Leafs Fan-Favourite Officially Leaves The Team
During today's practice at the Ford Performance Centre, the Toronto Maple Leafs were missing one key member.
Forward Tyler Bertuzzi was notably absent as the team geared up to face the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night.
The good news is that Bertuzzi isn't sidelined by an injury; rather, he skipped practice because his wife Ashley is about to give birth to their second child.
Bertuzzi, in his inaugural year with the Leafs after signing a one-year deal in the offseason, previously split his time between the Detroit Red Wings and Boston Bruins last year.
So far this season, he's contributed with six goals and 14 assists in 45 games, averaging 15 minutes and 18 seconds of ice time per game.
