You won't believe who Connor Bedard's cousin is
Connor Bedard, the former first overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft, has since proven to have the potential we all expected.
Meanwhile, up-and-coming talent from the WHL has attracted the attention of many scouts and pundits.
One of them is Connor Bedard's cousin, a 15-year-old winger who seems to be following his cousin's lead, as a prominent future NHL draftee.
A WHL player wearing #72, McKenna has been playing to his potential as an NHL draft-eligible player in 2026.
During his 31 games with the Tigers, he has accumulated 39 points, including 8 goals in the last ten games.
Connor Bedard's cousin, Gavin McKenna is in his 16 year old season is doubling anyone else in his class's production for a second year in a row
He's got 3 junior seasons before he's drafted but would already be highest scoring per game draft eligible skater in the 2022 class lol
The Tigers were down 3-0 when McKenna scored to complete a hat-trick and the game-winning goal in overtime.
There is something particularly spectacular about his wrist-shot, and it reminds people of his cousin, Bedard, of course.
As a 16-year-old forward, McKenna stands 5'11" and 165 pounds and has the potential to fill out his frame to become a typical NHL forward, albeit not above average.
He has the potential to become a franchise player, like his cousin, if he continues his performance like the one above.
