Chicago Blackhawks gear up for game against Anaheim Ducks and Connor Bedard breaks the silence on his scoring slump

Tonight, on Tuesday November 19, Connor Bedard looks to get out of his scoring slump against another bottom-feeding team, the Anaheim Ducks.

According to Bedard, it's all about the location on the ice and 'where to be'.

Alongside that, from a 'fans' perspective, there's no blaming Bedard for being in the wrong areas of the ice as each game he is given new linemates by head coach Luke Richardson.

In a recent interview Connor Bedard highlighted his areas of frustration.

I think I got to find good spots for myself, try to get the puck in good areas. I think that's something that's been tough for me right now, getting the puck in a spot that makes it easy to make a play. So I kind of can't handcuff myself.

Bedard than followed up by stating how frustrating it is.

"It's frustrating, but I can't go back to the past games or whatever. I just kind of got to keep playing and keep trying to get better.

Bedard has three goals and ten assists in eighteen games this NHL season, a 5.6% in shooting and a bottom-dwelling 29.3% in the faceoff dot, where NHL Analysts Rip on 19-year old Connor Bedard during broadcast vs Canucks

With a faceoff percentage of 38.9% last season, and a 10.7% in the shooting category, it's clear a breakout game is much needed.

Richardson stated what he needs from Bedard, and it doesn't exactly align with his perspective.

We want to get more shots to the net, and I think that'll help both Connor and the team. Dickinson's skating well. He's a real good centerman, so that takes a little bit of pressure off. Let Connor just work on his game and not worry about the face-off circle at this point.

Here's to hoping tonight's Blackhawks vs Ducks matchup can be a breakout game for 19-year old Bedard, and a point streak begins.
