The Chicago Blackhawks have faced a roster shuffle with two transactions, firstly, placing Taylor Raddysh on injured reserve due to a left groin strain after an injury in last night's game against the Dallas Stars.
In response to this move, the organization has decided to quickly bring back a familiar face, Boris Katchouk has been recalled from AHL's Rockford IceHogs.
Katchouk's return marks a swift comeback to the organization after being sent down for subpar performance just two games ago. Notably, he hasn't graced the Blackhawks' lineup in 27 days, with his last appearance on December 3rd, where he saw limited ice time in a 1-4 loss against the Minnesota Wild, playing for only twelve minutes.
One can only hope that Katchouk's quick stint in the AHL has provided a much needed wakeup call to the forward who's under contract for one more year.
