The worst has just been confirmed for the Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks received unfortunate news as forward Taylor Raddysh is now on the injured reserve list due to a left groin strain, as announced by the team on Saturday morning. This means Raddysh will be out for at least seven days, starting from December 29. This marks the 6th forward out via injury for the Blackhawks.
The injury occurred during Friday's game against the Dallas Stars at the American Airlines Center, where Raddysh left the ice early in the first period of the 5-4 overtime loss and did not return. His time on the ice was limited, with two brief shifts of 38 and 20 seconds, highlighting the abrupt end to his night.
The incident leading to the injury seems to have been a small hit Raddysh made on Stars defenseman Esa Lindell during his first shift. Despite attempting another shift, he eventually returned to the bench before heading back to the locker room.
This injury adds to the challenges facing the already thinly-stretched Blackhawks team, as they lose a key player who has consistently been part of the top-six lineup throughout the season. Raddysh has contributed significantly with 10 points, including five goals and five assists, in the 35 games played this season.
