The Chicago Blackhawks will face the San Jose Sharks, in what should be an exciting matchup between two rebuilding teams.

Of course, both roster the 1st round pick in 2023, with Connor Bedard, and the Sharks with the 1st overall pick in 2024, Macklin Celebrini on the roster. A real coup for both teams, who have honestly been bottom-dwellers the last two years, have improved their lineup significantly.

This is a matchup anyone anticipates, as this could turn into a rivalry of the future, as they're projected as future superstars in the NHL.

Macklin Celebrini:

Central Scouting - Apr. 16th: "Strong skater with a fluid stride, elusive speed and quickness. Has a good pull-away gear and top-end NHL speed. Excellent hockey sense and awareness. Slick puck control and movement game in the offensive zone - gets open for chances and can finish."

Connor Bedard:

Big-bodied forward with good finishing ability - the puck comes off his blade really well and his quick-release wrister makes him an effective goal scorer. A top power play producer who can make plays from the middle of ice, but also crashes the net for rebounds and loose pucks. Gives hits and takes hits to make plays

These two would be exciting to see head-to-head right? With Bedard's electrifying skills, and finishing ability, is always a spectacle in any NHL game.

Follow it up with Macklin Celebrini scoring his first NHL goal, during his first NHL game, the hype is real.

These last two drafts have given us amazing talent, and yet on October 17th, the San Jose Sharks will be without Celebrini due to a recent injury.

The rookie forward has been placed on the injured reserve and will be out for at least the next two games.

This was after Celebrini scored a goal and assist, in the Sharks overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues during his debut.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait for this Clash of the Titans in the NHL.

Celebrini finished 2023-2024 with 64 points(32 G, 32 A) in the NCAA, with the Boston University Terriers. He played 38 games in the NCAA before making the jump to the NHL.
