Chicago Blackhawks Provide Injury Update After The Injury Of Top-Line Forward Jason Dickinson In Thursday's Game

Chicago Blackhawks veteran forward Jason Dickinson is working through a right hand injury, after taking a shot up high in Thursday's game against the Florida Panthers.

This was the shift that injured the teams' top-goal scoring forward of the 2023-24 NHL season.

He's panned out to be Chicago's most reliable defensive and offensive forward with consistent play of a 200-foot game as a two-way forward.

The 29-year old veteran went to the locker room and did not return, he later returned late in the third period for the Blackhawks closeout win.

Head coach Luke Richardson remained tight-lipped on his injury status, leaving the media with an intriguing update stating he is "gutted out".

Dickinson then missed the team practice on Friday, but a positive light was shed when Luke Richardson provided an update.

Richardson stated that Dickinson will likely return to the Blackhawks lineup for their Saturday matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers

The bottom-dwelling team in the NHL sitting in last place has been relying heavily on their defense to achieve any type of success.

Without Seth Jones due to his long-term injury, as we spoke about the other day.
