Chicago SunTimes reporter Ben Pope reveals that Connor Bedard is shocked over American Thanksgiving

Chicago Blackhawks 19-year old sensation Connor Bedard has been struggling so far thus 2024-25 NHL season, going a whopping twelve games without a goal.

It's not just Bedard in a slump, but the Blackhawks as well, losing four out of their last six games.

That all changed on Wednesday when the Blackhawks traveled back home to the United Center following their loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

The Blackhawks hosted the red hot Dallas Stars and put a load of water on their steaming hot season with a 6-2 win

Connor Bedard snapped his 12-game goal drought in dramatic fashion, with a fiery wrist shot to beat Dallas Stars goaltender Casey DeSmith.

The game could not have gone better and it appeared to be one of the best of the season so far, the Blackhawks players now head into their and the NHL's Thanksgiving day off on a winning note.

Connor Bedard appears shocked at 'coming to the States', he said.

"I'm pretty shocked, coming to the States, how big Thanksgiving is. In Canada, we're much more chill about it. Here, everyone's kids have a week off school. I'm excited to celebrate it, I guess?"

Get used to it Connor! Nobody does Thanksgiving like America, fill your belly and be ready for the next game on Friday at 2PM.
