Blackhawks defensemen Nolan Allan will be the next Blackhawks enforcer
Nolan Allan may be one of the Blackhawks prospects who could crack the NHL lineup in the future.
He played 60 games in Rockford with the IceHogs, and while not expected to be a two-way defenseman, still managed to put up 17 points(5 G, 12 A) with 47 PIMs.
He's known primarily as a shutdown defenseman and was drafted for the ability to maintain steadiness in his own zone as well.
While his offensive play could use some growth, which we could see it continue to develop in the AHL, should he not make the regular season lineup, he's known to contribute offensively when needed.
As you can see his style of play is similar to that of Alex Vlasic, whose been a staple on the 1st-pair with Seth Jones, an great pairing.
Allan is one of the many last draft picks made by Stan Bowman in 2021, and was drafted with the Tampa Bay pick acquired during the Seth Jones trade.
Will Allan make the Blackhawks in 2024-2025 or will he required a little more seasoning?
