It was a full house at Wrigley Field to watch the game were the NHL and many in the media were present to watch this mess of a game after the Blackhawks showed a terrible effort in front of their home crowd.
Whitney explained that he was watching their warmup and it was clear the team wasn't ready as the practice went on for 35 minutes and they only scored one goal against their goaltender Petr Mrazcek.
He also said the general manager Kyle Davidson went to the dressing room after the game was over it just tore into his team as the effort was brutal to watch and the team looks completely disorganized.
There was hope that the Blackhawks may put together a few wins which they did as they received their coaching bump after firing Luke Richardson.
Since then, they're losing their games and some blowout losses which shows the team's design is flawed and not necessarily all the coach's fault.
Whitney along with the rest of the hosts all agree that the Blackhawks are a long way away for being a contender and they have hoped that this may change if Davidson and his management team can find a way to get better players and to help turn the tide with the Blackhawks.
The Blackhawks are currently last in the NHL as they have played 38 games and have a record of 12-24-2 for 26 points.
As the losses continue to pile up, it's safe to say they will be a lottery team and likely the team that could draft 1st overall as this season has been nothing but a disaster when there was hope that it would be a different story.
