Blackhawks fans furious following price release of 2024 Winter Classic tickets
The NHL 2025 Winter Classic will take place at historic Wrigley Field in Chicago and will feature longtime rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues.
The game is scheduled for Tuesday, December 4th at 4 PM in Chicago, Illinois and tickets have been released for sale.
And the fans are incensed already, as the ticket costs are exorbitant for those of us who can't afford expensive tickets, as the starting cost of for ticket at Wrigley Field is $290 dollars, just imagine making a house payment to take a family of four to see the Blackhawks and Blues.
Of course, it could be a nice Christmas present, but still the closer you get, of course, the higher the costs.
If you take a deeper look into ticket costs, there are resale tickets in Section 113 Row 15, which are just ridiculous at $2,500 with 4 tickets available, which is $625 per person.
The NHL has attempted and failed to grow the game, and keeping an outdoor game so expensive is another way of keeping the game insular.
Needless to say, normal Blackhawks fans in the nosebleeds would ultimately love to see the Hawks in an outdoor setting but for some people, these prices are just not workable.
It's beyond ridiculous.
