Blackhawks vs Blues Winter Classic game preview, including surprise lineup addition for Chicago
The day has finally come! The NHL 2025 Winter Classic will be played this evening at 5:00pm EST. The Chicago Blackhawks will be taking on the St. Louis Blues in their hometown at the historic Wrigley Field.
The Hawks have played the Blues in the Winter Classic once before in 2017, when the Blues beat the Hawks 4-1 at the Busch Stadium in St. Louis.
These two teams have extended losing streaks in their recent indoor games just before taking on the ice at the big outdoor event at Wrigley Field.
The Hawks coming in at a record 12-23-2 while the Blues are 17-17-4. Despite the low rankings, the Hawks would love to pull off the win.

Both teams seem to have their best players dressed and prepared for this once in a lifetime event.
