BREAKING: Chicago Blackhawks Facilitate Move With Defensemen
The Chicago Blackhawks are facing another challenge on defense as they've officially completed a move with defensemen Jarred Tinordi, placing him on injured reserve due to a right groin strain before Tuesday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. Tinordi's injury dates back to February 7th.
Tinordi, known for his physical style of play, last played on February 7th against the Minnesota Wild. He's contributed six assists in 30 games this season.
Luckily, Tinordi's injury doesn't seem too serious as he joined Tuesday's morning skate. With his IR status retroactive, there's a chance he could return as soon as Thursday when the Blackhawks face the Penguins.
In the meantime, the Blackhawks will rely on Louis Crevier and Isaak Phillips as the third defensive pair.
The game against Vancouver starts at 7:30 PM CT and will be aired on NBC Sports Chicago.
