Chicago Blackhawks fans start new pledge to bring Pat Foley back
Chris Vosters was announced the the Chicago Blackhawks play-by-play announcer in 2022.
Vosters succeeded the retiring Pat Foley and eventually Eddie Olcyzk who moved to Seattle as the announcer for the original-six team.
However, it seems that Wirtz and Company, will not be making a decision regarding Vosters tenure with the team.
Vosters has had experience calling Olympic Hockey, and was a part of the Big Ten Network, a part of Fox Sports, ESPN, and Stadium networks during his career.
But that hasn't shielded him from criticism from Blackhawks fans as they lamented another year with Vosters.
As someone considered one of the top 30 sportscasters under 30 this isn't good.
Chris was recognized by the Sportscasters Talent Agency of America as one of the top 30 Sportscasters Under 30 in 2018. He called games for the Great Lakes Loons, the Los Angeles Dodgers Class-A affiliate of the Midwest League (2015-2018) where he was awarded Midwest League Broadcaster of the Year in 2016. While with the Loons, he also served as Program Manager with ESPN 100.9 FM in Midland, Mich.
An honors graduate at the University of Wisconsin School of Journalism and Mass Communication, Vosters got his start at the university student radio station, 91.7-FM WSUM. An Eagle Scout, Vosters is a native of Brookfield, Wis. and currently resides in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago.
Fans clamor for Pat Foley's return even for just home games and unfortunately due to Foley's health concerns, it seems unlikely.
For now, Vosters remains the voice of the Blackhawks,
