Connor Bedard is in his sophomore year of his professional hockey career in the NHL. This season he's been under more scrutiny, as people expect him to go above and beyond the 61-point season he had in 2023-2024.

Despite his best efforts, there have been struggles early in the season for the Blackhawks. Including the fact that Luke Richardson is juggling the lines often, much to the dismay of fans and pundits.

They feel that Richardson's impatience with lines isn't conducive to building chemistry, or a successful hockey team.

Well today, Bedard was asked about the lines again after practice. He's tired of the same questions and snapped at a reporter.

While it's understandable that Bedard is frustrated with the situation, it doesn't seem right to snap at the media.

The Blackhawks' play has been, subpar lately, and they've only been able to build pressure on opposing teams in the 3rd period.

Not a winning formula, by anyone's standards! But nevertheless, the Blackhawks have persisted.

It seems his answer is the culmination of the fact he may not be playing up to expectations of his own this season. In addition to the fact, he's the one person who'll consistently have to answer to the media for the team's poor performance, likewise with Captain Nick Foligno.

«You can look everywhere, but just feeling like I'm having more impact on the game,» Bedard said on Monday. «I felt like earlier in the year, I was making a lot of plays, pretty dangerous out there. Lately, I've been (making) less of an impact and not really making a difference, so hopefully I can contribute more.»

Bedard's seen more than five different linemates this season, and only three have worked out the best, Philipp Kurashev, Nick Foligno, and Teuvo Teraveinen.

Fortunately, they have reunited Kurashsev, and Bedard for tomorrow against the Seattle Kraken.

Bedard has 13 points( 3 G, 10 A) in 16 games with the Blackhawks this season. Against the Minnesota Wild, played a TOI of 16:40 the lowest utilization of the forward in November.
