The Sophomore season for Connor Bedard has been a storyline every Blackhawks fan will follow faithfully.

The 1st overall pick in 2023, should be playing at a rate of a point-per-game right? Well, for Bedard he's close with 12 points( 3 G, 9 A) in 14 games with the Hawks.

His frustration with his lack of production tonight against the Dallas Stars has found its way on the ice.

As tonight he was responsible for giving the Dallas Stars a man advantage late in the 2nd period tonight.

His frustration led to him kicking the stick of Ilya Lyubushkin, an uncommon act from someone like Bedard, whose a soft-spoken, reserved personality.

The time of the unsportsmanlike conduct occurred with 7:05 left in the 2nd period.

It was completely undisciplined and uncharacteristic of Bedard, which is why it was so surprising to see.

Of course, the failed breakaway earlier didn't help the matter.

Connor Bedard in the last 5 games has 3 assists, 4 PIMs, and 20 shots on goal.

Bedard's frustrations have been vented in the media lately, as he feels like he's been struggling at the face-off circle as well.

«It's either average or it's really bad,» Bedard said, via Chicago Sun Times. «[It's about] consistency and finding different ways to win them. Last year, I really only did one thing, and you're not going to win many draws like that. I'm trying to find a couple new ways to win, but I've got to obviously be better.»

It looked like it bubbled into palpable action tonight, just not the right kind of action.
