Connor Bedard Honors Wrigley Field With New Detailed Piece of Equipment

The tweet showed a custom winter classic hockey stick made by Sherwood that shows some great details along with his signature and some great decals.

The stick even shows some of the details of Chicago's streets in an effort to bolster the city's image while they host this NHL game.

Many will flock to Wrigley Field to watch the Blackhawks take on the St Louis Blues much like they did back in 2009 when they took on the Detroit Red Wings.

This game has produced much fanfare over the last couple of months as the Blackhawks are currently in their rebuilding phase but have high hopes that the team will turn things around within the next year or two and become a perennial playoff contender.

This season has not gone according to general manager Kyle Davidson's expectations as he surrounded veteran players with Bedard in hopes the team would rise from the standings.

With the team likely to finish in the bottom once again, it's expected the team to make significant changes with trades at the March trade deadline and the notion that they would have to start all over again next season.

But in the meantime, the Blackhawks and the Wirtz organization will enjoy the fanfare, press and spotlight that's on their team even though their season has not gone well.

This outdoor game brings back many memories of the players who are playing in it and the fans that are sitting to watch as many had played on pawns or rinks as kids for the love of the game.

The Winter Classic will take place on December 31st with a pregame festival to take place in the afternoon just near the stadium and game time will be at 5pm eastern.
