Last year, hockey fans were surprised when Connor Bedard revealed his favorite player.
Known for his exciting playing style and offensive abilities, Bedard's skills have often drawn comparisons to Connor McDavid, leading many to assume McDavid was his idol during his junior years.
However, in a twist, Bedard shared in a recent interview that Tyler Motte was his favorite player at the time, despite Motte playing for Vancouver.
Now, as Bedard gears up for his highly anticipated NHL debut this week, he's switched his favorite player once again, opting for a more established name.
During a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Bedard opened up about his NHL journey and experiences so far.
When asked about his player role model, Bedard revealed Sidney Crosby as his favorite.
"I don't have one specific guy," Bedard explained. "I watch a lot of hockey, but Sidney Crosby is actually my favorite player, so I've watched him a lot. I try to learn from different players and pick up on their skills. Everyone's so talented, and everyone brings something unique to the game, so I try to absorb as much as I can."
