The Anders Sorensen experiment in Chicago continues to march forward, as Connor Bedard beat Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson to score first tonight.

Connor Bedard and the Blackhawks would open the scoring at 13:15 in the 1st period.

Connor Bedard takes advantage of a turnover, skates in and sends the puck under the pads of Filip Gustavsson to kick off the scoring in the 1st period

Bedard used his slick stick-handling skills, to fool Gustavsson and put it between the goalie's pads.

The Blackhawks superstar acted as if he was going to pass the puck the entire way to the net.

See below:

In another sign that Bedard has regained his confidence in the year 2024, he without hesitation utilized a mistake by the Wild and struck first in a goal that the John Hynes-led Wild should've neutralized.

While Bedard needs to continue to work on his face-offs, his defensive play in the Wild's defensive zone should be applauded tonight.

This was Bedard's 9 goal of the season, and he has scored 30 points this season, and the game against the Wild is the 35th of the year.

Michigan-iversary

Not to take away from the festivities tonight, but it is the one-year anniversary of Bedard's Michigan goal from last season:

Yes, it's been one year. On Dec. 23, 2023, Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks went to St. Louis to close their pre-Christmas slate. And, with 16:11 left in the first period, Bedard scored one of the prettiest goals in the history of the franchise against one of the team's biggest rivals.
