The Blackhawks have solid goal-tending in between this pipe this season, with Petr Mrazek who earned him a huge compliment from rookie Connor Bedard.
Mrazek has been the foundation the team needs, playing 53 games, with a 3.01 GAA, 18W-28L-4OTL this season, with a .908 save percentage.
However, what's not being said is how badly Arvid Soderlom has been, as Soderblom had recently signed a 2-year deal with the Blackhawks, with a $962K AAV.
He has been exceptionally terrible, without mention from Bedard, feels like there's something not being said from the rookie.
Soderblom has been struggling lately, and with Jaxson Stauber and Drew Commesso in the wings, one has to wonder what the team's next move with the goaltender will be.
Will he be sent back to the AHL?
Soderblom has only played 23 games with the Blackhawks with a 3.86 GAA, 5W-21L-1T, and a .880 save percentage.
Soderblom has of course struggled, and the team in front of him hasn't helped any better either.
If the Blackhawks are to improve as a team, they will need better goaltending in net and a good 1-2 punch which they currently don't have, unlike teams like the Vegas Golden Knights who utilized Adin Hill and Logan Thompson to win a cup.
