Troubling news from the Chicago Blackhawks practice facility, as it looks like Petr Mrazek may have injured himself again.

The Chicago Blackhawks could be in a world of pain, if starting goalie Petr Mrazek has injured himself once again.

At the Fifth Third Practice Facility, there was footage posted below by Charlie Roumeliotis that look as if Mrazek suffered a possibly injury.

He was hit by a puck, and would crouch as he tried to regain his composure, but was slow to rise after the collision between himself, and the puck.

This could spell disaster for the Blackhawks, as Mrazek is the team's only starting goalie. With Laurent Brossoit out, they have to rely on callups and adjust their system as Arvid Soderblom would have to step in again if he injured himself once more.

Mrazek was placed on IR earlier this season when he reinjured his groin which kept him out a significant amount of time in 2022.

The 32-year-old Mrazek was placed on injured reserve last weekend. He is 7-11-1 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in 20 games this season.

While we haven't had any confirmation of a nagging injury troubling Mrazek, typically these stories develop later in the day or the week, as clubs are often secretive about players' injuries.

Typically listing them as "lower-body" or "upper-body" injuries.

There's no telling what could have happened there, but being pelted with vulcanized rubber doesn't sound like my idea of a vacation.

In 23 games played this season with the Blackhawks, Mrazek has 7 wins, with a 3.23 GAA, and a .893 save percentage.
