A major development in the NHL as Jacob Trouba will be removed from the New York Rangers on Friday

A big development in the NHL has surfaced, and it's confirmed that Jacob Trouba, the New York Rangers captain will be officially be traded or waived by the organization on Friday.

According to Friedman, the Rangers have several trade options lined up but Trouba can decline them due to his no-movement clause in his contract.

The Rangers plan to do their captain dirty if he doesn't accept a trade, they will place him on waivers, and the teams who they have trades lined up with will claim him.

This is big for the Chicago Blackhawks who have a very high priority in claiming players on waivers due to them being at the bottom of the NHL standings.

The Blackhawks are struggling to find identity, and the defenseman who puts his all on the line- sometimes controversially, would be an ideal fit and protector for the youth in Chicago.

Trouba is 30 years of age and a 6-foot-3, 212 pound defenseman who was the 9th overall selection in the 2012 NHL entry draft.

One issue that teams may see is his $8 million dollar cap his which will expire in 2026, but for the Blackhawks, that cap space is peanuts to them.

Trouba will be traded or on waivers by 2PM Eastern on Friday December 6th.

Details to come.
