Major forward returns to the Chicago Blackhawks lineup spotted at practice
The Chicago Blackhawks got some good news as forward Andreas Athanasiou joined full team practice today.
Athanasiou, who's been out with a groin injury, participated in practice without any setbacks or missing out on contact.
He worked with the fourth line during drills. Though he's not back in the lineup yet, his full practice suggests he's closer to returning after being sidelined for a while.
Additionally, Athanasiou didn't wear a non-contact jersey during practice, indicating progress in his recovery.
This is a positive sign for the Blackhawks, who will benefit from his speed and scoring when he's back in action.
As Athanasiou continues to practice with the team, Blackhawks fans can expect to see him back on the ice soon, adding depth to the lineup.
