Member of the Blackhawks calls out Seth Jones following rough game
Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson didn't mince words when addressing defenseman Seth Jones' performance after a disappointing game.
Richardson emphasized the need for Jones to prioritize defensive responsibilities over offensive instincts. He highlighted instances where defensive lapses led to costly turnovers, stressing the importance of sticking to the game plan.
"Back to the drawing board... He's starting to think of offense before we finish our defensive responsibilities. The first play was just a tough one. That puck should've been out twice before that happened, but we kept turning it back in the first period, thinking we're going to get something better, and it ended up being something worse."
Despite the setback, Richardson showed his confidence in Jones' ability to bounce back and stated that the team's commitment to improving is a must-need.
