Michael Jordan shared some heartbreaking news with fans at the United Center last night.
Due to a recent death in his family, the basketball legend was unable to attend Chris Chelios' jersey retirement ceremony.
Michael Jordan said he had a death in the family and couldn't make it to Chris Chelios jersey retirement but he sent a video message that just aired inside the United Center.

However, he sent a heartfelt video message that was aired inside the arena, showing his support for the occasion.
Despite his absence, Jordan's gesture was deeply appreciated by both the Chicago Blackhawks organization and fans in attendance. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the 'G.O.A.T'.
