Blackhawks' top defense prospect Artyom Levshunov might be out for up to six weeks with a foot injury, according to Elliotte Friedman on the «32 Thoughts» podcast.
This injury will sideline him for training camp and could delay his start to the season.
Levshunov, the 2024 No. 2 overall pick, will spend at least two weeks in a walking boot.
Missing camp likely means he'll start with the AHL's Rockford IceHogs. The 18-year-old had a standout season at Michigan State and was named Big 10's Defensive Player and Rookie of the Year.
If his recovery takes the full six weeks, his debut could be in late October.
